Reiki is a form of energy healing. It simply involves “laying on of the hands” with a very light touch by an attuned Reiki Practitioner. This gentle transference of energy restores balance to the body, mind, and spirit. If one’s “life force energy” is low or blocked, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress. Pain is often reduced, sometimes eliminated and the client experiences profound relaxation.
Reiki is used in hundreds of hospitals and hospices across the U.S. and is standard protocol in many European countries to enhance the body’s healing. Reiki can be done during a Massage session or fully clothed as an individual session.

Pregnancy is a joyous time, although it can also be somewhat challenging both physically and emotionally due to hormonal changes . At this time it is most important to care for your own well being as well as that of your unborn child. Regular Pre-Natal Massages during your pregnancy can not only reduce stress and boost the immune system, it can help to alleviate back and sciatic pain, decrease edema in the legs and feet, and bring a sense of overall relaxation. Positioning various pillows in such a way to relieve pressure on certain areas and ensure absolute comfort, this massage uses long kneading strokes with a light to moderate touch.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage
This is a highly specialized Massage Technique to increase lymphatic circulation and stimulate the drainage of sluggish lymph nodes which will in turn detoxify the body. It also will boost the immune system by stimulating the formation of white blood cells that produce antibodies to increase the bodies resistance to infection. This is particularly important to areas of the body that are inflamed or have decreased mobility. The lymphatic system is a part of the circulatory system within the tissues that moves interstitial fluid and clears away waste products, bacteria, and cellular debris for ultimate removal by the kidneys.
Unlike blood circulation which relies on the heart to pump, the lymphatics are moved by breathing and muscle contractions. When there is damage to the tissues from injury or surgery or the muscles are inactive from lack of exercise, Manual Lymphatic Drainage can help to flush metabolic wastes and excess edema from the tissues as well as stimulate the immune system for better health. To further enhance this treatment, our Certified Lymphatic Drainage Therapists can combine this technique with the use of Wullstone Infrared Therapy. For more information on benefits of Far Infrared treatment, please see Wullstone Infrared Therapy.
- Level 1 45 Min (specific work to reduce limb edema) – $60

Hot Stone Massage
The influence of Native American tradition can be found in hot stone massage therapy. Hot stones were traditionally used to create the heat in a Sweat Lodge, but also they were used to rub on sore muscles along with steeped herbs to warm, soothe and relax the muscles. We use hand picked stones naturally smoothed by the ocean’s currents along the coast of Maine.
Heated, flat stones are strategically placed along the spine to warm and soothe the back muscles. Then other heated stones are used to begin the treatment and incorporated into a deeply penetrating and soothing massage using traditional Native American essential oils such as Clary Sage and Birch. To enhance your experience, small pebbles are placed between the toes, and round stones are put in each hand. A very Earth-based therapy!

Wullstones are ceramic stones heated by infrared radiant energy. Research conducted by NASA shows that these “bio-energetic rays play an important role in the development of living things”, and have been approved for their effectiveness and safety. Far-infrared heat can penetrate deeper into the tissues than conventional heat and effect down to the cellular level. An excellent treatment for improving micro-vascular circulation, increasing nutrient supply and oxygenation of cells and tissues, removing toxins and excess fluid from tissues, facilitating increased healing time following injury or surgery, and reducing pain and inflammation in joints and muscles. This therapy can be used in a full massage treatment such as in Manual Lymphatic Drainage or as a spot treatment for a specific area.
Add to any massage for treatment on a specific area for an additional $15
The Raindrop Treatment is a powerful, non-invasive therapy for assisting the body in correcting defects in the spine by utilizing certain key essential oils chosen for their anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory benefits. A growing amount of scientific research shows that many types of spinal misalignment causing scoliosis, sciatica, and chronic back pain are caused by viruses or bacteria that lie dormant along the spine. The therapeutic effects of essential oils, which can penetrate the skin, pass into the tissues and bring pain relief within a several minutes, has also been studied extensively.
Ten medical grade essential oils chosen for their specific beneficial properties, are first applied to the reflex points of the feet using a technique called Vitaflex which uses a light subtle touch of the fingertips. Then they are dripped sequentially along the spine and “feathered” in, giving the effect of drops of rain along the back. Tibetan reflexology, hot compresses and a back massage complete this powerfully detoxifying treatment.
- Allow 75 Min – $105
- Series of 5 (recommended for ongoing back problems or to aid in detoxification during chronic infections) – $470
